So I can’t believe that I let so much time pass since I mentioned my 10 resolutions. ‘Just crazy how time slips away. So I again return to my list of 10 RESOLUTIONS and will start again with resolution #1 Show New Work
I’ve been creating a lot of new work throughout the year and will roll it out starting with a few product shots of Wolfe, Electrolux and WhirlPool. The watermark will be off soon. Other work will follow as well as at least 9 other resolutions.

It’s rare that we have to use any light to work in the studio. There is just so much of it bouncing around. With our days lengthening going into the summer the sunset cast up into the ceiling is really special. Come see for yourself.
Pennsylvania Cactus

Odd as it may seem, but this time every year the cactus that we have growing around the studio blooms with hundreds of flowers like they’re the grand finale at the 4th of July. Honestly, being a northerner I couldn’t imagine a yearly bloom for an outdoor “Pennsylvania Cactus,” but it’s true.
About 4 years ago we planted several small plants, each with roughly 4-10 paddles. They seem to winter extremely well and have in some areas grown more that 20 times their original size. These hardy succulents are covered in snow and ice at least 4 months of the year. In the summer they sit in lava rock beds and get pounded by the sun. I believe this plant is Cactus Opuntia Humifusa and are not only spectacular but gets me craving the south west.

It’s been a few years since being commissioned by Simon Schuster to shoot the cover of The Mind Beauty Connection, Dr. Amy Wechsler’s book about reverse stress aging and revealing more beautiful skin. So it was especially nice to re-connect with Amy and make new promotional images of her in her uber cool NYC 69th street office. Amy contributes regularly to numerous magazines including: Marie Claire, Glamour, Woman’s Health, Shape, Redbook, Bazaar, Self and W to name a few. Amy is a good soul and lovely person who connects well with people and the camera and is just a pleasure with whom to share time . It was especially enjoyable to make these images more about Amy and her style. Plus nothing bad can come with a good team of assistants, make-up and wardrobe. Along with making new images of Amy, I did the same with Gervaise Gerstner a board certified dermatologist providing care in the same office.
